What is L-Tyrosine?
L-Tyrosine is a naturally occurring amino acid found in many foods and produced in the body from the amino acid phenylalanine. It is absorbed from the small intestine and transported throughout the body where it can be used as part of normal protein metabolism.
L-Tyrosine is present in protein-rich foods such as dairy products, meat, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds. It is commonly included in food supplements as an additional source of this amino acid.
What does L-Tyrosine do?
L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that forms part of proteins and plays a role in normal metabolic processes within the body.
