What is Selenium Methionine?
Selenium is an essential trace mineral required by the body in small amounts. It contributes to several important biological processes, including normal immune system function, normal thyroid function, and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Selenium also contributes to normal spermatogenesis and plays a role in maintaining healthy hair and nails.
Selenium occurs naturally in foods such as Brazil nuts, fish, meat, eggs and whole grains.
Health Leads Selenium is provided in the form of L-Selenomethionine, an organic form of selenium commonly used in food supplements.
