What is Activated Charcoal?
Activated charcoal is produced from natural carbon sources such as coconut shells that have been specially processed to create a highly porous structure. This process increases the surface area of the charcoal, giving it the ability to bind certain substances.
Activated charcoal has long been used in food supplements due to its unique adsorptive properties.
Activated charcoal contributes to the reduction of excessive flatulence after eating.*
Ingredients
Activated Charcoal Powder (from Coconut Shell) – 300mg
Vegetable capsule shell (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)
Suggested Adult Use
Take 2 capsules before a meal and 2 capsules after a meal.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Important Information
Activated charcoal may reduce the absorption of medicines and other supplements.
To minimise this effect, avoid taking activated charcoal within two hours before or after taking medications, supplements or food.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
Keep out of reach of children.
*The beneficial effect is obtained with 1g of activated charcoal at least 30 minutes before a meal and 1g shortly after the meal.
