What is Bentonite Clay?
Bentonite Clay is a natural mineral clay formed from volcanic ash. It is also known as Montmorillonite Clay, named after the region of Montmorillon in France where it was first identified.
Health Leads Bentonite Clay is a natural sodium bentonite powder sourced from South America. The clay is carefully processed by passing it under powerful magnets and milling it to a fine particle size.
What does Bentonite Clay do?
Bentonite Clay is widely used in natural skincare and cosmetic preparations. When mixed with water it forms a smooth paste, making it suitable for use in face masks, body treatments and bathing preparations.
Its fine texture and natural mineral content make it a popular ingredient in many cosmetic and beauty products.
Suggested Use
For oily skin, mix 1 tablespoon of clay with a small amount of water to form a thick paste.
Apply to the face and neck, avoiding sensitive areas.
Leave for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Dry the skin gently and apply moisturiser.
Use 1–2 times per week to maintain a refreshed complexion.
