What Is Hawthorn?
Hawthorn is the common name for several species within the Crataegus genus, a member of the Rosaceae (rose) family.
Native throughout Europe, Western Asia and North America, hawthorn grows as a thorny shrub or small tree and is recognised by its white spring blossom and clusters of bright red berries that appear during autumn.
The berries, leaves and flowers have all been used traditionally, although this product contains hawthorn berry.
