Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, is poorly absorbed on its own. Piperine — the active compound in black pepper — has been shown in research to significantly enhance curcumin bioavailability. This formula includes 5mg of 95% piperine extract (equivalent to 250mg of black pepper) to maximise the absorption of the curcumin content.

Turmeric powder is the whole dried root and contains a broad range of naturally occurring compounds. Health Leads Turmeric Plus 1455mg combines Turmeric powder with concentrated Curcumin extract and Black Pepper extract in a convenient vegetable capsule.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a plant with a long history of culinary and traditional use. Its distinctive golden colour comes from naturally occurring compounds known as curcuminoids, including curcumin.
This formula combines whole Turmeric powder with a concentrated Curcumin extract standardised to 95%, providing both the broader botanical powder and a defined source of concentrated curcumin.
Black Pepper extract (Piper nigrum) is also included as a concentrated 50:1 extract, standardised to provide 95% piperine.
Each capsule provides:
• Turmeric (Curcuma longa) — 405mg
• Curcumin Extract 95% — 40mg
20:1 extract equivalent to 800mg Turmeric
• Black Pepper Extract (Piper nigrum) — 5mg
