This product provides Vitamin D3, the same form naturally synthesised by the body.

The Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) used in this product is derived from lanolin, a natural waxy substance obtained from sheep's wool. Lanolin is an animal-derived ingredient, making this product unsuitable for vegans. It is suitable for vegetarians. If you require a vegan Vitamin D3, this is typically derived from lichen rather than lanolin.

Yes. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and is absorbed alongside dietary fat. Taking it with a meal that contains some fat will improve absorption compared to taking it on an empty stomach. A small amount of fat is sufficient.

Natural food sources include oily fish, egg yolks, liver and fortified foods. In food supplements, Vitamin D is supplied in one of two forms: Vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol) or Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). This product provides Vitamin D3, the same form naturally produced in human skin following exposure to sunlight.
