What is Astaxanthin?
Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid pigment found in certain marine organisms. It is responsible for the red colour seen in foods such as salmon, trout, krill, shrimp and other crustaceans.
Astaxanthin is also produced by microalgae, particularly Haematococcus pluvialis, which is commonly used as a source for food supplements.
Suggested Adult Use
Take one capsule daily with food, or as directed by a qualified healthcare professional.
Astaxanthin supplements are often taken with meals containing dietary fats to support absorption.
If you have a medical condition, are taking medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare professional before using any food supplement.
Discontinue use if any adverse reaction occurs.
