Despite the name, magnesium oil contains no oil whatsoever. It is a highly concentrated solution of magnesium chloride in water. The name comes from its texture — at high concentrations, magnesium chloride solution has a slightly oily, slippery feel when applied to the skin. It is entirely water-based.

Zechstein® is a registered trademark referring to magnesium chloride brine sourced from the ancient Zechstein seabed, a geological formation approximately 1,500–2,000 metres underground in the Netherlands. It is considered a premium source of magnesium chloride due to its purity and mineral-rich composition, having been protected underground for around 250 million years.

A tingling or stinging sensation on application is common, particularly on sensitive skin or freshly shaved areas. This is normal and not harmful. To reduce the sensation, dilute the spray with water before use — try a 50/50 mix of magnesium oil and water as a starting point, then adjust to your preference. The sensation typically reduces with regular use as magnesium levels in the skin normalise.

Spray directly onto clean skin — arms, legs, abdomen or feet are common application areas. Massage in gently and leave for at least 20 minutes before rinsing if desired, or leave on the skin. For sensitive skin, dilute with water before application. Avoid applying to broken, irritated or sunburned skin, and avoid contact with eyes.

Each bottle contains 200ml of magnesium oil spray. Usage duration varies depending on how much is applied per session and how frequently it is used. At 5–10 sprays per application once daily, a 200ml bottle typically lasts 4–8 weeks.

Health Leads Magnesium Oil is a concentrated topical Magnesium Chloride solution sourced from the ancient Zechstein® seabed in northern Europe.
Despite its name, Magnesium Oil is not an oil. It is a concentrated mineral brine that has a naturally smooth, slightly oily or slippery texture when applied to the skin.
The Magnesium Chloride is sourced from ancient Zechstein® mineral deposits located deep underground beneath northern Europe. The mineral-rich brine is extracted and filtered before being prepared for topical use.
This product provides a 31% concentration of Zechstein® Magnesium Chloride solution with no added fragrances, colours or unnecessary ingredients.

Suggested Use
For topical use only.
Spray onto clean skin and gently massage into the desired area. Begin with 1–3 sprays and increase gradually as required.
Alternatively, add one tablespoon or more to warm bath water and soak for approximately 20 minutes.
Apply to clean, dry or slightly damp skin, ideally after bathing or showering.
Additional Guidance
A light mineral residue may remain on the skin after the solution dries. This is normal and is caused by the naturally occurring mineral salts in the solution.
If preferred, rinse the skin with water after approximately 20 minutes.
A temporary tingling or stinging sensation may occur, particularly on sensitive or freshly shaved skin. If sensitivity occurs, dilute the solution with an equal amount of water before use.
