What is Malic Acid?
Malic Acid is an organic acid belonging to a group of compounds known as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
Although alpha-hydroxy acids are often associated with skincare, Malic Acid also occurs naturally in foods and is produced as part of normal metabolism. Within the body, it participates in the citric acid (Krebs) cycle—a series of biochemical reactions involved in cellular energy production.
